DEADLY ACCIDENT Victim's Name Released In Fatal ATV Wreck

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department has released the name of the man killed Monday in an ATV accident.
William David Turner, 59, of Pax was killed in an accident on Paint Creek Road about 9 a.m., according to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department. When deputies arrived, they discovered that the ATV had apparently left the roadway and overturned. The driver was pinned under the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s department said.
The sheriff’s department said families members told sheriff’s deputies that Turner had left his residence on his ATV about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, and they began looking for him when he did not return. After family members found the overturned ATV, they notified the Fayette County 911 Center, the release said.
Dispatchers say one person died in an ATV accident.
Emergency crews responded to Paint Creek Road in the Pax area of Fayette County about 8:30 a.m. Monday. Details of the accident were unavailable at this time.
