West Virginia State Police were targeting speeders traveling along Route 2 Thursday afternoon.
Sgt. Greg Losh said the section of roadway, near the community of Lesage, is a very dangerous section of roadway that has seen numerous fatal accidents over the years.
State police wrote 52 tickets, and one person was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
Sgt Losh said overall, the summer speeding blitz program has been a success.
