An illiterate Kanawha County man pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on a home computer.
Chester Wilkinson had been scheduled to go on trial Monday in Kanawha Circuit Court when he pleaded guilty to a single count of possessing material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Wilkinson faces up to two years in prison when he is sentenced next month. A psychiatric exam was ordered to help determine if Wilkinson is a candidate for probation. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
