Two women are recovering after they were shot on Charleston's West Side early Saturday morning.
It happened shortly before 7am in the 700 block of Madison Street.
Witnesses say Michael Ginther became upset when he allegedly saw his niece smoking marijuana with a group of men on the street. That's when they say he went into his house, grabbed a shotgun full of pellets and began shooting at the group.
Two women standing nearby were hit, but are expected to be okay.
Ginther is charged with two counts of malicious wounding.
Ginther's nephew, Bruce Boggs, was also arrested for allegedly getting into a fight with the group of men. He is also charged with malicious wounding.
