Charleston detectives say a man was stabbed three times Friday morning in a West Side neighborhood.
Ahmari Smith, 21, of Detroit told police he was attacked by a group of men about 4:30 a.m. at 924 Central Ave. Charleston detectives say Smith was stabbed in the hands and lower back.
He was listed in stable condition at Charleston Area Medical Center’s General Hospital.
Police are still on the hunt for suspects. Police said Smith faced charges in 2008 for allegedly selling crack and carrying a gun.
