An Athens County, Ohio man is behind bars after an alleged standoff with deputies.
Investigators say they responded to a shots fired call at Sam Balch's home in Glouster Saturday evening.
When they got on scene, Balch's girlfriend said he shot at her several times and threatened to kill her.
Balch would not come out of the house, and deputies tried to negotiate with him for an hour.
A special response team broke down the door and arrested Balch.
Balch is charged with felonious assault and is currently in the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail.
