A Cabell County man is in jail after police say he locked two young children in a room, while he viciously attacked their mother.
Police say Justin Peet, 29, of Huntington, repeatedly punched and cut his roommate with a knife at their Marcum Terrace residence over the weekend. Officers also say Peet locked the victim's children, ages 1 and 2, in a room and left them there for two hours while the attack took place.
Peet is charged with child abuse and neglect, malicious wounding, domestic assault, and battery.
