The Huntington Outdoor Theater did things a little differently Thursday night, so a mother diagnosed with a devastating disease could watch her son shine on stage.
Carol Bass has stage 3 lung cancer and wanted to watch her son, Eyewitness News's own Kennie Bass, perform in the Huntington Outdoor Theater's production of Legally Blonde the Musical.
In her condition it would be impossible for Carol to sit outside in the heat.
The group changed things around a bit and did a special show in Charleston so that Carol could watch.
