Two people are facing child neglect charges after police say seven children were found in a home with no running water and drugs out in the open.
Kimberly Mounts and Everrett Spears are facing drug charges and seven counts of child neglect creating the risk of injury. Mounts told police three of the kids are hers and the other four belong to her sister from Columbus.
State police say the children were ages 1 to 9 and were all sleeping on the floor in the same room. Police also say there were several needles and spoons lying around the house, troopers say one needle was loaded with prescription drugs. Police also say there were several bags of marijuana seeds and a marijuana pipe in reach of the children.
Police were called to the house after CPS was called by neighbors concerned about the kids running around the neighborhood day and night, with no shoes on.
