Members of the Ashland Police Department are now confirming sightings of a bobcat in the Midland Heights area.
Officers responded to a house on Edgewood Avenue after a neighbor saw the bobcat running across his driveway. The man saw a fawn that appeared to have been killed by the cat.
Nan O'hara heard the attack from across the street, she said she never thought she would see something like this in her urban neighborhood.
"Its very serious," O'hara said. "No one's going out after dark, no one's letting animals out, no one's letting children out."
Ashland Police are asking people who live in the area to exercise caution with children and pets while outside.
