32-year old Greg Aaron Justice of Sumerco is charged with first degree murder in the death of Daniel Cook.
Cook disappeared late last week. Troopers found his body Wednesday night in a secluded area on Laurel Fork Road.
Troopers say Justice and Cook were longtime friends. Neighbors say Justice was out partying earlier this week and bragged about killing Cook...and putting the body in a place where it would never be found.
Investigators wouldn't talk about what they believe led to the shooting, however, neighbors say Cook had witnessed Justice committing an unrelated crime...and that Justice had vowed to dispose of any witnesses.
Justice is behind bars at the Western Regional Jail. He is being held without bond until he appears before a circuit judge in the next ten days.
