The flight line of the 130th Airlift Wing, Charleston, West Virginia has been transformed into a staging area for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in support of the recent violent storms and statewide power outages.
The 130th Airlift Wing is supporting approximately 20 members of FEMA and their support teams, 50 Army National Guardsmen and 70 130th Wing personnel. As of July 6, 2012, 325 vehicles have traveled from Charleston pushing out 427,167 gallons of water, 396,000 meals, 200 oxygen cylinders, 98 electrical generators and a variety of medical supplies and infant toddler kits.
