A Roane County woman is relying on her generator to keep her husband Gary alive.
Debra Harper is worried she won't have enough money to continue to buy gas for her generator.
Like so many of people across the state, Debra hasn't had power since last Friday. She's lost all of her food and is struggling to cool her home in this intense heat. None of those things matter to her however, as much as keeping her husbands ventilator running.
Gary has Lou Gehrig's disease and needs to be on life support to stay alive.
The couple has been married for nearly 40 years and their close bond makes it even harder for Debra to worry about running out of gas.
The power isn't expected to be fully restored in Roane County until Sunday, and Debra worries that is too far away.
