Governor Earl Ray Tomblin spends his July 4, 2012 holiday traveling throughout the state of West Virginia meeting constituents and local leaders regarding recovery efforts from the devastating storm.
"Today's biggest challenge is the need for ice which is coming from as far away as Louisiana. The good news is that the hard work of thousands of power crews has turned on more lights, decreasing the number of outages to less than 267,000," said Gov. Tomblin.
"Thank you to everyone who has worked through the July 4th holiday and continued to assist with recovery efforts. Your generosity is sincerely appreciated."
Yesterday, Tomblin toured Boone, Logan and Mingo counties among others.
