Fayette , West Virginia

Help for those in Fayette County.
Every effort has been taken to quickly bring help to all areas of the county.
WV National Guard has set up Feeding sites serving hot meals at the following:

For today:
Lunch 11:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Dinner 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Old Oak Hill Elementary School
Gauley Bridge Fire Department
Glen Jean Armory
Armstrong Creek Fire Department
These sites will serve up to 125 – 175 persons per site.

For Thursday July 5, 2012
Breakfast 7:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Dinner 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
All sites listed above except Old Oak Hill Elementary will change to the Ansted Fire Department
for Breakfast and Dinner on Thursday 7/5/12.

All PSD’s are up and running but you need to practice conservation.
If your water goes off be patient and allow lines to fill.

Currently the main priority is getting water to as many people as possible.
Water Stations are set up at:
Kanawha Falls PSD
Gauley Bridge Fire Department
Armstrong Creek Fire Department
Fayetteville First Church of God
Lewis Center in Oak Hill
Meadow Bridge Town Hall
Mount Hope Fire Department
Page/Kincaid PSD
Pax Vol. Fire Department - Distribution site until generator is repaired
Kimberly Grade School
Valley Elementary School
Nuttall Vol. Fire Department
Mt. Olive Baptist Church
Gauley River PSD

Full Service Shelters are set up at the Lewis Community Center in Oak Hill and the First Church of God in Fayetteville and the Montgomery Catholic Church.
Valley High School has been set up to enable showers for people in that area.

Officials are working to set up dumpster sites in all areas of the county to dispose of spoiled food.

The WV National guard has health and wellness assessment teams on the ground going door to door checking on those affected by the storms but we ask that everyone check on loved ones and neighbors.

Courthouse will be open on Thursday, July 5, 2012 if the electricity remains on in the Town of Fayetteville.

****Clarify that the Boil Water Notice, while issued statewide, if only for the PSD’s that are affected by No Water, Low Water Pressure, or Cloudy Water. There are many places that think they have to be on Boil Water just because the Boil Water Notice was issued.
