Firefighters had their hands full today battling both fierce flames and high heat.
As if not having power isn't already bad enough a Kanawha County family is now without a home.
It happened around noon Monday on Witcher Creek; that's just outside of Belle off of Route 60.
Quick moving flames destroyed the home. The fire rekindled several times while crews fought to get it under control.
Another battle was the intense heat, forcing firefighters to make sure they stayed hydrated so they wouldn't get over heated.
No word yet on what caused this fire, but the home did not have power due to the widespread outages.
