Rumors that water systems in Athens County Ohio have shut down are not true, says the Emergency Management Agency.
The water systems that serve Athens County and their status are listed below;
Athens City – Fair and operating
Nelsonville City – Fair and operating on generator power
Le Ax Water District – Poor, operating on generator power, boil order until further notice, some customers may experience low to no water pressure. The problem is being worked on.
Athens County Water and Sewer District – Fair and operating on generator power
Sunday Creek Water District – Good and Operating
Burr Oak Water District – Good and Operating
Tuppers Plains Water District – Good and Operating
Little Hocking Water District – Good and Operating
