The severe storm that moved through the region and the power outages that resulted are causing major issues at gas stations across the state. No power means you cannot pump gas.
Stations that do have power are busier than they've ever been. This video shows what it looked like this Saturday morning as the line of cars stacked up at gas stations near the state capitol.
West Virginia State Police with the Turnpike Detachment say there was a huge backup at the toll plaza in Beckley after around 150 drivers tried to stop and fill up their tank.
Troopers say the best thing do is stay off of the roads if you can, and avoid the headache altogether.
