Today marks two years since West Virginia's longtime U.S. Senator, Robert C. Byrd died.
Senator Byrd was the longest-serving senator and longest-serving member in the history of the United States Congress. He was 92 years old.
Thursday afternoon, Governor Tomblin will lay a wreath on Senator Byrd's statue in the upper rotunda of the State Capitol.
That ceremony is set to begin at 3pm. A public reception will follow.
