A missing Roane County man is found unharmed.
Search crews found William Nichols, 77, of Spencer around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police, firefighters, and community members launched an all out search for him Wednesday morning after his car was found outside the water treatment plant in Walton.
Family members told police he had left Tuesday to go searching for a plant called yellow root, but hadn't been seen since.
They were concerned because Nichols is deaf, and he hadn't been gone that long before.
Crews found him, and his dog, Sassy unharmed in the woods.
