Police are searching for a suspect after a man is shot multiple times on Charleston's west side with a pellet gun.
The shooting was first reported in the 800 block of Central Avenue, near Shaar's Bar.
Police learned the victim had been fighting with a group of people at a home in the 1400 block of Third Avenue.
Police say the victim, Robert McQuillan of Saint Albans was shot five times in the back. He was treated and released from CAMC General Thursday night.
Charleston detectives say the shooting may have sparked from a fight over a girl.
The girl was taken to the police headquarters for questioning.
A suspect has been named but not yet arrested, police said.

Police are on the scene of a shooting on Charleston's West Side.
It happened in the 800 block of Central Avenue around 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
