A man accused of robbing a Kanawha City bank two weeks ago had his preliminary hearing Thursday.
Police say 31-year-old Joseph Pike Dempsey walked into the Fifth Third Bank on MacCorkle Avenue, ordered the tellers to the floor, grabbed a handful of money and took off.
Dempsey was caught in South Charleston where police recognized him after arresting him for a fight.
A judge decided there is enough evidence to send the case forward to the grand jury.
