Fire destroys a business that has served the people of Lawrence County, Kentucky since the 1950s.
Firefighters say it happened at Dave’s Auto Service and Sale in Louisa around 2am Wednesday. Seven fire departments responded to the scene.
As of Wednesday afternoon, investigators say they are not sure what sparked the blaze, but that the business is a total loss.
Thankfully, no one was hurt, and the beloved skating rink which set less than 20 feet away from the auto shop was not damaged.
Several cars which were for sale at the shop were also destroyed in the fire. The EPA arrived on the scene early Wednesday to make sure that oil which had spilled was properly cleaned up and contained.
The cleanup efforts are already underway. We'll have much more on this story tonight on Eyewitness News.
