ACC TO NYC Local Choir Heads To New York For International Choir Festival

Some young voices from West Virginia will represent the United States in New York later this month.
The Appalachian Children's Chorus will travel to the Big Apple on June 25th for the Rhythms of One World 2012 International Choir Festival.
The group will perform at the Lincoln Center and perform a solo concert at the Kaufman Center on June 29th. The performance will include a diverse selection of songs including those of Appalachian tradition, which will be performed with a three piece string band.
Students from Norway, South Africa, Luxembourg, Australia, Canada, Trinidad & Tobago will also be performing as part of the festival.
ACC members plan to take in some sites and see Broadway's production of The Lion King, then attend a workshop with members of the cast.
