Chili lovers unite and get your taste buds ready because there's going to be a whole lot of spice and sweet to go around this weekend.
The annual "Smoke On The Water Chili Cook-Off" kicks off Saturday morning along Kanawha boulevard.
The cook-off starts at 10am with the lighting of the stoves and live music and you can start sampling just after 11am.
Here's a look at the event schedule:
8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. - Cook's registration and setup
9:30 a.m. - Cook's meeting
10:00 a.m. - Official Lighting of the Stoves
10:00 a.m. - Cook's meeting for law firm cook-off
11:00 a.m. - Live music begins
11:00 a.m. - Judges meeting
11:00 a.m. - Law firm cook-off competition begins
12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Children's activities Sponsored by the YMCA of Kanawha Valley and Tri-County YMCA on the Boulevard
11:15 a.m. - Chili Sampling Ticket Sales begin (Hospice tents)
11:30 a.m. - People's Choice sampling begins (while supplies last)
11:30 a.m. - Salsa turn in for judging
12:00 Noon - Law firm competition sampling begins
1:00 p.m. - Green chili turn in for judging
2:00 p.m. - Judging for law firm competition
3:00 p.m. - Red chili turn in for judging
3:00 p.m. - Hot pepper eating contest
3:30 p.m. - Frozen T-shirt contest
4:45 p.m. (approximately) -- awards ceremony
