Police continue to search for a gunman who shot an Oak Hill, West Virginia cop responding to an alarm call early today. Dozens of officers joined the search. Sgt. J. L. Kirk was saved from serious injury by his body armor and returned fire after the incident near Whipple.
A suspect sketch shows a black male with corn rows or dreadlocks, but police now say the facial features in the drawing are inaccurate. Police said he had on jeans and a green shirt and described the man armed with a small caliber pistol as stocky.
