The battle over gay rights is a major issue on the forefront of the national political scene. On Sunday, that battle was brought to Charleston.
Hundreds of gay rights supporters hit the streets to demand equality.
A parade was held on Kanawha Bulevard, along with a festival at Haddad River Front Park.
There was a scuffle with anitgay protestors, who set up across the street from the parade. They were speaking out and holding signs to show their disapproval.
