A Virginia man who was captured in Charleston for a Bluefield murder learned his fate Thursday.
A judge sentenced 21-year-old Brandon Flack to life in prison with a recommendation of mercy on first degree murder charges.
Flack is accused of killing his cousin, 17-year-old Matthew Flack.
Brandon was caught in Charleston in January of 2011 for the murder. He had also been shot and was taken to a local hospital, where police arrested him.
Flack was also sentenced to 40 to 45 years on a charge of first degree robbery and one to five years on a conspiracy charge.
21-year-old Jasmen Montgomery, of Virginia, previously plead guilty to first degree murder with mercy in the murder.
The third man charged in the case, 44-year-old Joseph Flack, Jr. is awaiting trial on several charges, including first degree murder.
