Emergency crews think they've now recovered a container that's been polluting the Kanawha River since May 25th.
The leaking tank was in the back of a pickup truck that plunged into the river off Kanawha Boulevard near the Southside Bridge last month.
The Department of Environmental Protection believes the material is driveway sealant, but they are not sure. Booms still surround the spot in the river.
The liquid was moved to another container and the original one taken away by boat. The tank was in water shallow enough that divers weren't needed.
While police found the driver, the DEP is still trying to contact the truck's owner.
