A memorial run will take place later this summer for a Wayne county teenager killed in a car crash last month.
The 5K run-walk for Kristen Haley Stiltner will start at Wayne County Town Hall at 6pm on July 6th. The run will take participants on a flat route throughout the town of Wayne.
Stiltner was killed in an accident on Camp Creek Road in the East Lynn area back on Friday, May 25th. Three other teenagers were involved in that accident; Kristen is the daughter of Wayne Mayor Dwayne Stiltner and was the only teen who did not survive the crash.
Cost for the race is just $15 dollars until June 30th. The cost goes up to $20 dollars July 1st-6th and you can register between 5 and 6pm on the 6th at Wayne Town Hall. Bracelets made in Kristen's memory will also be available for purchase.
All proceeds will go to Kristen's family to help cover expenses.
