Six months after a freak accident paralyzed a little girl from the waist down, 2-year-old Lydia Peyton is finally walking again.
This is video of Lydia from her mother's facebook page. She got new leg braces last month and Monday she took these precious first steps. Her mother Brooke says she was left speechless as Lydia walked using parallel bars. Friends and family cheered her on and Brooke says her daughter just wanted to keep showing off.
Last November a 500-pound tombstone accidentally crushed the toddler while she was visiting a family cemetery in Cabell County. Lydia was paralyzed from the waist down and doctors feared she would never walk again, but she is proving them wrong and hopefully will continue to do so in the future.
