As the Huntington fire department has dealt with financial problems for months, Huntington city council prepares for a vote that could free up some money for the summer months.
Thursday evening, Huntington city council will meet in a special council meeting to decide whether or not to provide the department with more money for over time.
Fire officials are optimistic and hope the money gets them through the end of June, which will end the fiscal year.
