Putnam County School Board members approve the resignation of a Poca High School teacher who was suspended twice this school year.
Jack Dailey, a former tennis coach and business teacher at Poca High School, was first suspended for 10 days without pay in September last year after bystanders alerted police that a student was in the trunk of Dailey's car in the parking lot in South Charleston.
No injuries were reported, and Dailey was not arrested or charged. Police described the incident as a hoax. Then in January of this year, Dailey was suspended again for insubordination.
