A Huntington man is facing multiple charges after police say he tried to break into a home late last week.
Court documents say Gregory Allen Yates, 34, of Huntington tried to pry open a door at a home in the 1900 block of Jefferson Avenue on Friday. The homeowner allegedly confronted Yates and he took off.
When police caught up with him, they found Yates smelling of alcohol, with slurred speech, glassy, bloodshot eyes, and Baclofen tablets in his pocket.
He is charged with attempted burglary, public intoxication, and possession of a controlled substance.
