A Cabell County man is charged with malicious wounding after police say he and his father got into an argument that turned violent.
Court document say it happened in early April in the 3300 block of Cyrus Creek Road in Cabell County.
That's where police say Jeremy Adam Bartram, 20, of Lavalette, and his father James Mays, allegedly started arguing with Anita Rossiter, threatening her with a baseball bat.
Court documents also reveal that Jesse Williamson, a neighbor who saw what was going on -- confronted the men. Bartram then hit Williamson with the bat multiple times, and inadvertently struck his father in the face.
Mr. Williamson received bruises and marks around his neck, swelling in his legs, and back pain. Bartram was arrested Wednesday and charged with malicious wounding.
