Two people are behind bars accused of trying to steal copper in Whitesville.
24-year-old Clarence Green and 23-year-old Harley Fraley, Jr. are charged with interruption of telephone service, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Police say the two men tried to steal the copper, which cut phone service to the Whitesville detachment of the State Police and a large portion of the community for two days.
It will cost nearly $25,000 to repair those phone lines.
Both Fraley and Green are currently in the Southern Regional Jail.
