What happened Wednesday morning at a nursing home and rehab center in Putnam County has a lot of people shaking their heads. "You know, you've got crazies everywhere," said Carol Wright of Hurricane. Police say a man wearing a clown mask and scrubs crept into Genesis Healthcare through a window, pulled out a gun, ordered a nurse to the ground and demanded medication from her cart. He got the pills, then took off. But people who have loved ones there, like Rita Sheehan, James Bolen, and Carol Wright want the robber caught and fast. "Just to think of all these helpless people and the people who work here who handle the drugs, it's just totally shocking," said daughter of nursing home resident, Rita Sheehan. The facility has always been considered safe, and the people still believe it is. They say they're just angry that someone would prey on a place meant to help others, just to get drugs. "It's very scary because when people are on those drugs, they do things they wouldn't normally do. And that's why they need to be taken out of the hands of people who aren't responsible," explained James Bolen of Putnam County. Now a nursing home and its visitors are on high alert. Hoping the robber disguised as a clown doesn't return for his next act. "It's as if they came into your home! It's the same thing," said Sheehan. Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man.
