A police chase with children in the car ended safely Saturday night. Cabell County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Moskey was tipped off on a stolen car in the Culloden area of Cabell County.
The car was located near Charlie's Creek on Route 60. When the officer turned on lights and sirens, the stolen car sped up to 90 MPH. The car began to slow down on James River Turnpike. According to the police report, Adrien Warren Allen fled the car on foot and into the woods but was caught. Sgt. Moskey says the suspects wife, a rear passenger and the suspects children were in the car.
Police say Adrien Allen confessed to taking Loritab pills before driving. Allen is charged with Fleeing-DUI, fleeing on foot, child neglect creating serious body injury and altered registration. Allen was taken to the Western Regional Jail.
