A Raleigh County man is in jail after deputies say he cut another man with a knife.
According to a release from the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office, it happened on Sunday at a residence on Fortuna Road in the Harper area. That's where deputies say Donald Matthew Bradley, 40, of Harper, pulled a knife on Mark Anthony Milam - cutting him across his stomach.
Deputies say Bradley took off in a vehicle. Milam was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery.
Witnesses at the scene identified Bradley as the suspect and deputies caught up with him a short time later in the Lower Sandlick/Glen Daniel area of Raleigh County. Deputies say that Bradley confronted Milam over an incident with his son that happened the previous day.
Bradley is charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding. He remains in the Southern Regional Jail.
