One person died after being hit by a car in Kentucky on Friday.
Kentucky State Troopers say Ren Yang, age 65, of Morehead, Kentucky was pronounced dead at Cabell Huntington Hospital on Sunday evening.
Two others, Jimmy Yang, age 39, of Morhead, Kentucky and Lin Hung, age 24 were also taken to the hospital, treated, and released.
Troopers say the accident happened along I-64 Friday afternoon around 4:30 near the 166 mile marker eastbound in Carter County, Kentucky.
The accident remains under investigation, but right now KSP believe that Ren Yang, Jimmy Yang, and Lin Hung were standing outside of their Toyota pickup which was pulling a U-Haul trailer. That truck was on the shoulder of the roadway at the time of the accident, although it is not clear whether the three individuals were on the shoulder or in the roadway at the time of the accident.
Troopers say the driver of a 2005 GMC, Jason E. Goebel, age 40, of Nitro, West Virginia apparently struck the three victims while they were standing outside of their vehicle. Goebel was not hurt.
