Nitro Police Arrest Man In Connection With Stolen Truck

Nitro Police arrest a man in connection with a stolen vehicle.
Patrolman D. S. Bays received a tip that a stolen vehicle was parked in front of 147 Main Avenue in Nitro, Wednesday night.
Ptlm. Bays and Lieutenant C. A. Greene responded and found a white 2012 Dodge Ram truck in the driveway.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the truck had been reported as a stolen vehicle.
Officers were also advised that a male named Joseph Christopher Hajj, 31, was wanted in connection with the case.
They found Hajj hiding in the attic of the home. He was also wanted in Kentucky and Georgia for a probation violation for grand larceny of a car.
Hajj also had six warrants for writing worthless checks in Putnam County and one worthless check warrant from Kanawha County.
Additional charges are expected to be filed on Thursday. Hajj was taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
