This multistate lottery game is giving hope to millions of regular "Joes" across the country. The jackpot is a record 640 million dollars! And while the odds are 1 in 176 million, that isn't stopping the dollars or the dreams.
"I would help those that have helped me. I would give money to the church, my family, but then I'm gonna have some fun with it too," said Andrew Byrd.
"I would build me a great big home. Buy me a very nice car. I would help my dad, my son. I would like to have a mini limo. I'd help people who need it," said Debbie Kahlert.
"I would probably go out and buy myself a new car, and my family a house. And then I would build Charleston a huge 50 meter olympic sized pool because I'm a swimmer and we don't have one in the entire state," said Collin Meadows.
Earlier Friday sales in West Virginia were clocked at 1000 tickets per minute!
It only takes one person to match all six numbers. While the odds are against you, maybe luck will be on your side!
"Everybody wants to dream a bit. It's kind of nice to fantasize about," said WV Lottery Spokesperson Cari Blankenship.
If no one wins the millions, it's estimated by Tuesday the jackpot could climb to one billion dollars. That will keep the dream of becoming an overnight multimillionaire alive.
