It's a musical look at the last week of Jesus' life.
"Jesus Christ Superstar," the rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice is based on the Gospel's account of the final days of Christ on Earth.
This is the second time Ryan Hardiman has played the title role....but the third time he's performed in the musical. Hardiman has been on both sides of the story's betrayal. Previously, he's also tackled the role of Judas.
Contemporary Youth Arts Company productions are usually original works by director Dan Kehde and musical director Mark Scarpelli. But the duo has made an exception for this musical.
Although presenting Biblical events which happened two thousand years ago, the musical puts a modern-day spin on them...something audiences have been debating since its debut in 1971.
