A fire Saturday morning at a home on Arlington Avenue in Charleston kills eight. The call came in around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. It's a two-story wood frame home. At this time officials have confirmed that six children and two adults are dead. A seventh child was critically injured and is in the hospital. Here are the names of those victims. Alex Seals died in the fire, along with his two children KiKi and GiGi. The children of Seals' girlfriend also died, one-year-old Emmanuel and three-year-old Elijah. The children's mother, Latasha Jones Isabele, survived the fire. She woke up early to smoke and realized the house was on fire. Isabele's sister, Lisa Carter was the other mother who lived in the home. Today was her birthday. Lisa was killed along with her three-year-old son Jeremiah and her daughter Kehanna. Lisa's six-year-old son BJ was the lone survivor in the fire. He was rushed to the hospital and remains on life support. We have learned through friends that he has a breathing problem was uses a ventilator machine at night, which might have helped him survive. He is in very critical condition. We're told the police officers on scene got in the back of the ambulance and had to help paramedics do CPR. Investigators say doesn't appear to be suspicious. They do say this is the worst fire in Charleston's history. Firefighters say there was only one working smoke detector in the house, which was found on a counter. There was an inspection of the house in February, but no adult was in the house at the time, so the inspection was not completed. There will be a candlelight vigil for the victims on the Capitol steps at 8pm tonight. We have a crew on the scene and will continue to update this story as information becomes available.
