Trying to take a teenager, that's what troopers say one man did in Wayne county. Now that girl and her mother tell us they are hoping that man gets caught.
It happened outside of the Buffalo Kindergarten Complex Gym in Kenova. It's here the middle school girls volleyball team practices.
The 13 year old girl and her mom didn't want to go on camera, but they do want people to know what happened.
They tell us the teenager was walking to practice when she reached the doors to the gym she noticed a white van parked out back.
She turned to go inside when she heard gravel start to fly and saw the man rushing towards her.
The teenager tells us she took off running. She says the man got back into his van and drove after her. She was able to hide in a housing subdivision until he left, now her coach is taking extra steps to make sure all the girls are safe.
The suspect is described as a white heavy-set man with short hair and discolored teeth.
He was wearing ripped jeans and a white shirt with holes in it.
Troopers are looking for a white beat-up van with mismatched windows.
