A convicted sex offender gets an additional 5 years for failing to properly register.
34-year old Gabriel Hargus served time for sexually abusing a 14-year old girl and for possessing child porn.
After getting out of prison, he was put on supervised release for 30 years. He was also required to register as a sex offender.
But Hargus gave a fake birthday to police and didn't disclose an alias he'd used in the past.
After serving his time, Hargus will be placed on supervised release for 25 years and remain on the sex offender registry for life.
