A 14-year-old boy is being held on charges of threatening to kill a teacher and several fellow students at Ravenswood High School.
Jackson County sheriff's Chief Deputy A.J. Boggs tells media outlets that police arrested the boy Monday night and charged him with making terrorists threats. The boy is being held at a juvenile detention center in Parkersburg.
Boggs says several students told the school's resource officer on Monday that the boy had claimed he created a hit list and planned to bring a shotgun to the school.
Police searched the boy's home and found evidence that a list had been made, although none was found. Boggs says the boy had access to a shotgun at a relative's home.
