Artists and those who support the Arts were honored Thursday, March 9, 2012.
The 2012 Governor's Arts Awards Ceremony and Gala was at the Culture Center in Charleston, WV.
Governor Earl Ray Tomblin presented Vernon Howell of Cabell County with the Art Award for Lifetime Achievement.
Landau Eugene Murphy received the Artist of the Year Award.
Ten members of the WV Legislature were also recognized.
