Cross Lanes man who admitted he was a child molester is going to prison for crimes against children that began 30 years ago.
Ronald Good, 57, admitted he sexually abused and assaulted his step-daughter and her friend in Saint Albans. Good asked for probation, but the judge gave him the maximum he could on the two charges Good plead guilty to earlier.
He was sentenced to a little more than five years in prison after emotional victim impact statements from step- daughter Crystal Good and Tracy Dawson.
Dawson said: " Emotionally I can not even begin to tell you how it's effected me and my family. The age of this case is irrelevant to me because I I live it everyday. "
The judge also ordered Good to spend 50 years on supervised release.
It was a moment of emotional relief for the victims. The crimes began in 1980 and were first reported in 1994. Investigative work by Sheriff's Detective Samantha Ferrell helped put Good behind bars.
