While many states are experiencing significant cuts in the National Air Guard, it looks like West Virginia will escape the chopping block.
The West Virginia Air National Guard has two airlift wings in the state.
The 130th Airlift Wing in Charleston operates C-130's and specializes in the tactical airlift and airdrop of supplies and troops in whatever area in which they are operating.
